Jet Jaguar
Named for a mighty flying robot from a Godzilla movie, Jet Jaguar has similarly stormed the Wellington electronica scene like a mighty colossus. In an understated, painterly fashion he fashions ridiculously funky but also delicately mannered cuts. He's remixed numerous local luminaries from Fat Freddy''s Drop to the Black Seeds to Disasteradio to Rhian Sheehan. From 2000 to 2004 he released three albums on the Involve and Capital Recordings labels.
Jet Jaguar went to varsity with AR founders Aquaboogie and Group FIve, and for reasons known only to us decided to saddle himself with this admirable yet obscure netlabel. He even gave us the EP "My Life in the Bush out the Back of My Place". God bless you, Jet Jaguar!
